Step 1 - Information Dome
|
Your adventure begins at the ICI Alberta and Mauril kiosk in the Information Dome south of La Cité francophone on Marie-Anne Gaboury street. Don’t delay! We’ll be sharing a few colourful French expressions that are key to your Franco-fun journey.

The challenge begins at the ICI Alberta and Mauril kiosk where you’ll learn the meaning of these expressions and see how they come to life during the Franco-fun experience.

Oniva! is the name of a children’s television program produced in Alberta. The title also refers to a French phrase used to incite action. Have you heard it before?

Spring is the season for sugaring off. Maple trees are tapped to extract tree sap that is transformed into syrup, maple taffy and other sweets served at sugar shacks. How would you feel about an off-season sample?
|
Satisfy your sweet tooth with some delicious maple taffy and think about which French adjectives you would use as descriptors.
(For example : c’est sucré, collant, délicieux, brûlant, soyeux, etc.)

Channel your inner storyteller by summarizing a tale that you know well in French.

What better way to enjoy winter than by going tobogganing! In French-speaking Alberta, the word toboggan is used for both the sledding activity and the object on which one slides down the slopes.
